Daycare, Celebrities, and Giving Back

Recently I was asked by Whitfield County- Dalton Daycare- which provides childcare services for low-income families- to partner with them by creating promo images for their upcoming fundraiser. The theme of the event was “Local Celebrities,” and the daycare asked me to photograph some of the fundraiser volunteers dressed as iconic figures. I thought this was a delightful concept, and I knew I had to come up with the perfect backdrop to match the characters. 

The Wink Theater in downtown Dalton immediately came to mind. Built in 1941, it’s one of the oldest buildings in the city. We met there on a very rainy Monday afternoon, but despite the dampness and grey clouds we had a ton of fun capturing stunning portraits of these “local celebrities.” Thank you to the magnificent volunteer models, and thank you to Whitfield County- Dalton Daycare for the opportunity to participate in your fundraiser and give back to my community!
