July Workshops: Community, Creation, Connection
Art has a way of bringing people together, and after a year and a half of isolation, that’s just what the doctor ordered. If you’re as ready as I am to meet new people, reconnect with your community, and expand creatively, I invite you to attend one of my workshops in the lovely Cafe Leon in Dalton, July 23-24. In these tactile, community-oriented experiences, we’ll connect over stories, good food, and art. Whether you’re a confident creator or you’ve never touched a paintbrush, you’ll leave with beautiful artwork, new skills, and hopefully a new friend or two.

Gel Plate Monoprinting Fundamentals

Where: Cafe Leon, 229 N Hamilton St, Dalton, GA 30720
Gel plate monoprinting is a delightful (and highly addictive) way to jump into printmaking. In this two-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of printmaking using acrylic paint, found objects, stencils, and your imagination to create a series of one-off prints (called monotypes). These prints are perfect for framing, gifting, greeting cards, and more! Start your weekend on a creative note, bring a friend, and prepare to have fun!
Acrylic Flow Art

Whether you’re addicted to watching acrylic pour videos on Youtube, or you’ve never heard of it before, flow art is an exciting adventure for experienced artists and novices alike. Flow art is mesmerizing to watch and is a delightful way to release control and embrace the creative process.
